Windows Game Server & Community Portal
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I have a Windows machine (8 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD) that I want turned into the heart of a small, multi-game community. The first milestone is getting the server itself online and ready to run a handful of strategy and simulation titles—think combined-arms war games, economic builders, and a few medieval scenarios. From there I need a lightweight web front-door where players can see what’s live, jump straight into a lobby, and leave feedback.
Alongside the landing page I also want a forum and an embedded video area so we can stream matches or upload highlights. Real-time voice or text chat isn’t critical on day one, but please leave space in the stack so we can bolt it on later without major refactoring.
I’m open to whichever free or low-cost tools you prefer—phpBB, MyBB, WordPress, NodeBB, or similar—as long as they are secure, skinnable, and easy for me to maintain once you hand them over.
Deliverables
• Windows game server installed, patched, and stress-tested with at least one sample title
• Web landing page showing server status and game links
• Forum set up, themed to match the landing page, and connected to the same user database
• Section or widget for embedded Twitch/YouTube streams
• Clear hand-off documentation covering ports, services, and how to add more games or plugins
I’ll supply the bare-metal machine and remote access the moment we agree on the workflow. Looking forward to seeing how you pull the pieces together into a smooth, player-friendly hub.
