I have a set of PDF documents that will be presented in court and I need clear, defensible confirmation of when each file was actually downloaded—not simply when it was first created or last modified. Your role is to extract and interpret all relevant metadata from these PDFs, explain the distinction between creation timestamps and download timestamps, and then put that explanation into an affidavit I can file with the court.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A thorough, tool-based metadata examination (EnCase, FTK, ExifTool, or similar are fine—whatever you are most comfortable defending under oath).
• A concise forensic report that highlights the exact metadata fields proving the download date and shows how those fields differ from basic creation or modification data.
• A signed affidavit, written in plain language a judge can understand, attesting to your credentials, methods, and findings.
Everything must be admissible and ready for potential cross-examination, so please bring any relevant certifications or prior expert-witness experience to the table. If you can stand behind your work in court, I’m ready to move forward right away.
Our creation date was months prior to download. Right now they are saying creation date is download date which is inaccurate. Files were signed via jotform august 23rd 2025. Downloaded February 20th,2026. I need an expert to attest that thr docuemtns were downloaded and sent and redownloaded mutlipe times. Creation date cannot be secured by metadata because the pdf itself was downloaded and emailed multiple times.
