Vacuum Packaging Expert for RTE
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need an experienced food-packaging technologist to review and optimise the vacuum packs used for our ready-to-eat chicken and vegetable lines. The graphics and dimensions are already fixed, so the job centres on the technical heart of the pack rather than its look.
What I expect from you
• Material selection – advise on the most suitable high-barrier films, laminates or pouches for low-acid, protein-rich products that are distributed chilled. I’m particularly interested in measurable OTR / WVTR data and regulatory compliance for US and EU markets.
• Sealing techniques – define the ideal equipment settings, seal profiles and quality-control checks that will guarantee hermetic integrity through refrigerated distribution and mild reheating by consumers. Experience with rotary, tray, or flow-vac sealers is welcome, provided you can translate that know-how to our compact in-line machine.
• Shelf-life testing – design a validation plan (microbiological, physico-chemical and sensory), specify test intervals and interpret the results so we can substantiate a 28-day shelf life claim.
Deliverables
1. A concise technical report with film specs, supplier short-list, and justification.
2. A sealing SOP that production can follow, including critical control limits.
3. A shelf-life test protocol and a sample results template we can use internally.
Acceptance
I’ll consider the project complete once the report, SOP and protocol are submitted in editable format and any follow-up questions are answered clearly.
