Tom Kha Coconut Soup Lesson
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
The task is to guide me, an intermediate-level home cook, through preparing a classic Tom Kha coconut soup on the stovetop. I’m comfortable with basic knife work and seasoning, but I want to master the real balance of galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime, and coconut milk so the broth tastes restaurant–quality, not flat or overly sweet.
I’d like clear, real-time instruction via Zoom or similar video platform, plus concise reference material I can keep on hand while I cook. A short ingredient primer on sourcing fresh herbs and choosing the right coconut milk would be invaluable, as would tips on managing heat to avoid curdling.
Deliverables
• One live, 60- to 90-minute stovetop coaching session (recording allowed for my personal use)
• A printable recipe sheet with measured ingredients, timing cues, and garnish options
• Post-lesson Q&A support (up to two follow-up questions by message)
I’ll have my mise en place ready; you focus on technique, flavor adjustments, and plating advice so I finish with a fragrant, creamy Tom Kha that highlights authentic Thai aromatics.
