Powder Hydration SOP Creation

I’m formalising a powdered hydration drink and need a clear, industry-ready Standard Operating Procedure that any contract manufacturer can follow without ambiguity.
Scope
• Ingredients & formulation – I already have a core list of actives, electrolytes, and flavour bases that must stay intact. You will refine ratios for taste, osmolality, solubility, shelf life, and permitted daily intakes while identifying any supporting excipients or flow agents the blend may require.
• Manufacturing process – translate the final recipe into a practical, step-by-step production workflow: pre-mix staging, dry blending parameters, sieving/ milling specs, in-process checks, and packaging guidelines (stick packs and bulk tubs). You may reference common equipment such as ribbon blenders, V-mixers, or hammer mills where relevant.
Deliverables
1. A complete formula sheet (grams per serving and percentage by weight).
2. A detailed SOP document covering batch sizing, equipment settings, environmental controls, and GMP notes.
3. A short troubleshooting section addressing clumping, flavour drift, and colour uniformity.
Acceptance Criteria
The SOP should be precise enough to satisfy a GMP auditor and include calculations that show the finished product meets WHO oral rehydration recommendations for sodium and potassium while remaining within FDA/EFSA limits for sweeteners and vitamins.
