development of a mobile application for an intelligent virtual university assistant
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
I need a straightforward MVP that lets students log in, type a question, and instantly see answers drawn from a Firebase collection.
Core requirements
• Cross-platform delivery for both Android and iOS—feel free to use Flutter, React Native or another framework you trust for speed.
• Email-and-password authentication, plus a field where the student enters a matricule ID on first sign-in.
• Simple chat-style screen: the student types a question, the app checks Firebase for a matching entry, and returns the stored answer.
• If no match exists, the question is written to a “unanswered” node/collection and the user sees a polite “We’ll get back to you” message.
• Lightweight admin panel (mobile or web) where an authorised user can:
– List unanswered questions
– Add or edit an answer, which immediately makes it available to the app
Scope is intentionally minimal; I just want a clean, functional proof of concept with commented code so we can learn from it. Please share any similar chat, FAQ, or Firebase projects you’ve shipped and how quickly you can turn this around.
