Seeking a Flutter app developer (expert)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We have a desktop app that was created using Flutter (specially Flutter.dart). The original developers are no longer available and we are seeking a team (or individual) to take over the maintenance of the app and then add new features that are on our product roadmap.
The app is a desktop app that works on Windows and macOS only for now (however, as soon as this first project is done, we would like to build the app for iOS/iPadOS as well).
This first project is hopefully straightforward. We need to do the following:
1. Add a version string to the app under "About" or
in the footer so that the current version of the
app is always known. The original developer
manually put the version under About (i.e., in
the About text) however, we would like to
automate this by when the app is built (Git),
build version is automatically displayed either
in About or in the footer (e.g., either Version xyz
or Release ABC).
2. The app's icon displayed on the desktop and
taskbar is transparent and it should be .jpg
to that the icon is clearer. This should be easy
to fix.
3. In the Windows Task Manager, the app name is
"A new Flutter application" but it should be the
name of the app (which we will provide). This
too should be an easy fix.
4. We are ready to have the app built for the Linux
platform so you will build it for Linux. There
is a special library that is required that we
will provide for our encryption routines.
5. Become familiar with the app so that you can
move to the next project which is a little more
challenging because we will be adding a new
feature.
Again, this first project is relatively straightforward and it will serve as a means for the individual to become familiar with the app before moving on to more challenging projects and becoming our app developer and support for the app.
We'd like to get the individual started right away.
