The goal is to build a commute-focused ride-sharing application for Indian cities that runs seamlessly on both iOS and Android. Within the same account a user must be able to switch between two roles—publishing a ride when they are driving and booking a seat when they need one—so there is no separate “driver” or “passenger” profile.

Core flow
• Phone-number verification completes sign-up.
• A rider who owns a bike or car enters origin, destination, time, vehicle type (bike or car) and available seats, then publishes the ride.
• Commuters travelling the same route see matching rides and can instantly reserve seats.
• Once a seat is booked, both parties receive in-app and SMS confirmations.
• Riders can manage upcoming trips, see who has booked, and close or edit listings at any time.

I’m open to either a high-quality cross-platform stack (Flutter, React Native) or two native codebases provided feature parity and smooth UX remain intact; please outline the approach you prefer. A lightweight backend that can handle route matching, secure user data and push notifications is required, along with simple admin tools to view rides and moderate reports.
