Mobile Expense Tracker App

I’m designing a personal finance tool whose first and only mission right now is seamless expense tracking. I need a mobile app that lets users record spending on the go, tag each entry with a category, and instantly see how the numbers add up through clear daily, weekly, and monthly summaries.

Authentication is simple: email-and-password sign-up, login, logout, and password-reset flows—no social logins or biometrics for this phase. The interface should feel lightweight and intuitive so users can add an expense in just a few taps.

Use whatever modern mobile stack you’re most productive with—Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, or similar—as long as the code is clean, commented, and easy for me to extend. A small backend (Firebase, Supabase, AWS Amplify, or a custom Node API) will store each authenticated user’s data securely; make sure the setup is scripted so I can redeploy it myself.

Deliverables
• Complete source code for the mobile app
• Backend configuration or deployment scripts
• README with build, run, and deployment instructions
• Test build (APK and/or TestFlight) for hands-on review

Acceptance criteria
• Email/password account creation, login, logout, and reset all work reliably
• Users can add, edit, delete, and categorize expenses
• Summaries update instantly and display totals per day, week, month, and by category
• Data remains isolated to the logged-in user and is encrypted at rest
