Migrate Flutter App to LiveKit

Job ID: 40542543

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m replacing every trace of ZEGOCLOUD in my existing Flutter codebase with LiveKit Cloud and need someone who has already shipped production workloads on this stack. The app is live on both iOS and Android, so the migration must remain fully cross-platform.

Scope of work
• Swap the current ZEGOCLOUD SDKs for LiveKit SDKs and wire them into the existing Flutter UI.
• Enable and thoroughly test Live Streaming, Video Conferencing, and Real-time Chat—each feature must behave at least as smoothly as it does today.
• Stand up a tailored LiveKit Cloud configuration (custom room settings, token generation, recording options, etc.) and connect it to my backend.
• Update any server-side endpoints or web-socket flows so authentication, participant events, and media routing work seamlessly after the switch.
• Conduct end-to-end testing on real devices for both iOS and Android, fix edge-case glitches, and hand back a build that clears the App Store and Play Store review gates.

Acceptance criteria
1. Flutter project compiles cleanly with the LiveKit SDK and no residual ZEGOCLOUD imports.
2. Live Streaming, group calls, and chat all function with <300 ms latency on average in my test environment.
3. Custom LiveKit settings (e.g., adaptive simulcast layers, region routing) are active and verifiable via the LiveKit dashboard.
4. All backend changes are delivered as merge-ready pull requests with clear documentation.
5. Final builds pass my smoke tests on both iOS (latest iPhone) and Android (mid-range + flagship).

Tools you’ll likely draw on: Dart/Flutter, LiveKit SDK, REST/web-socket APIs, Firebase/Node (our current backend stack), and Git.

If you’ve executed a similar migration before, especially under a tight deadline, I’d love to see it.
