Iraq is green
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m launching a series of grassroots tree-planting campaigns across Iraq and need a simple mobile app to keep the momentum going. The initial release should run on both iOS and Android and focus on one core workflow: letting people sign up to volunteer at upcoming planting events. After each event I also want an easy way for me (or designated organizers) to log the total number of trees planted so we can share real impact figures with the community.
This is very much an impact-driven initiative rather than a commercial project, so I’m looking for a developer willing to contribute time and talent on a volunteer—or near-volunteer—basis. If you enjoy building with Flutter, React Native, or any cross-platform stack that ships quickly, you’ll have creative freedom to choose the tools you’re most comfortable with as long as the final build is stable and publishable to both app stores.
Deliverables
• A functional MVP that allows new users to register, browse events, and confirm participation
• Admin access (even a simple web panel or Firebase console) where I can enter the number of trees planted per event
• Complete source code and basic deployment instructions so I can maintain the project or pass it to future contributors
Once the MVP is in the stores, I hope to expand features—like event location maps or donation tracking—when additional help or funding becomes available. If you’d like to code for a cause and see real-time ecological impact from your work, I’d love to hear from you.
