Instagram-Style Reels Video App

I’m building a mobile platform whose entire focus is Reels-style video sharing. Think of the vertical, swipe-friendly feed you find on Instagram, but as the core and only purpose of the app rather than an add-on feature. Users must be able to record or upload short videos, trim or reorder clips, write a caption, and then publish to a public feed where others can like, comment, follow, and share.

Because the primary purpose I selected is video sharing—specifically “reels”—all design, navigation, and backend logic should revolve around that experience. I did not choose photo posts, micro-blogging, or long-form features, so please keep the UI lightweight and uncluttered. Live streaming, Stories, or Direct Messaging can remain optional for a later phase, but the first release has to nail smooth playback, fast uploads, and an addictive swipe flow.

Core requirements
• iOS and Android release built with Flutter, React Native, or native stacks—whichever you can justify for performance.
• Scalable backend (Firebase, Supabase, Node.js, or similar) with secure user auth, real-time feed updates, and cloud storage for video.
• Basic video editor: trim, add caption text, and cover thumbnail selection.
• Engagement layer: likes, comments, follow/unfollow, push notifications.
• Clean, modern UI that echoes Instagram Reels without copying assets.
• Admin dashboard for content moderation and user reports.
• Complete source code, build instructions, and a short hand-off call or document so I can deploy updates myself.
