Full-Stack Mobile Developer (Flutter + Node.js)
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We’re building a mobile-first consumer social platform focused on personal growth. We’re live, growing fast (1,000+ users and climbing), and need an experienced full-stack dev to help us move faster at this early scaling stage.
You’ll be joining a lean, technically-led team working on a real product — not a prototype — with real users and a large surface area. You won’t own the full stack solo, but you will be expected to contribute confidently across mobile and backend as we move fast, ship often, and scale the platform.
1. FRONTEND STACK
• Flutter (iOS + Android)
• Provider (state management)
• RESTful APIs
• WebSocket-based real-time functionality (Socket.IO)
• Firebase (Auth, Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• SharedPreferences (local storage)
• Branch.io (deep linking)
• Native integrations (camera, notifications, biometric auth)
• SDK integration (e.g. Meta SDK)
2. BACKEND STACK
• Node.js with Express
• MongoDB with Mongoose
• Socket.IO (real-time engine)
• Firebase Admin SDK (push notifications, auth)
• Azure App Services (multi-region deployment)
• Backblaze (media storage)
• SendGrid + Nodemailer + Handlebars (email system)
• Postman (API testing/debugging)
3. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Building and maintaining real-time features (live sockets, notifications, in-app updates)
• Shipping full-stack features across mobile and backend
• Squashing bugs, fixing crash logs, and tightening stability
• Collaborating on architecture decisions as we scale usage and infrastructure
• Optimizing performance across the stack (DB queries, socket load, storage, etc.)
• Improving the reliability of complex async flows (auth, media uploads, messaging)
4. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Strong experience in Flutter/Dart (you’ve shipped real production apps)
• Proven backend experience with Node.js/Express + MongoDB
• Deep understanding of real-time systems — sockets, sync, race conditions, etc.
• Experience building for both iOS and Android
• Strong debugging ability across mobile, backend, and 3rd-party services
• High attention to detail — from naming conventions to preventing regressions
• Solid experience with Azure and Firebase
• Bonus: Experience with consumer apps that have scaled to 100k+ installs
5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP
• Remote (working during AEST or IST timezones).
• Hourly contract based on assigned tasks.
• Speed matters — not rushing, but rapid iteration is critical
• Must be available 7 days a week during this fast-moving phase (doesn’t mean full days — it means being responsive and able to ship quickly when needed)

We’ve built the stack with speed over perfection — deliberately choosing fast iteration and functional solutions over pristine architecture. That means parts of the codebase are scrappy in places, inconsistent in others, and occasionally messy, but always moving. If you need everything to be clean, elegant, or enterprise-grade from day one, this probably isn’t the right fit. But if you’re comfortable getting your hands dirty, working with what’s there, improving/refactoring as we progress, and shaping it for global scale — you’ll thrive here.
