Flutter Movie & Series Streaming App
Budget: $30 – $600 AUD
I’m looking for a Flutter developer who can put together a lean, proof-of-concept movie-streaming app—think of it as a trimmed-down Netflix built for Android and iOS.
Scope
• Core flow only: a secure sign-in, a browsable movie catalog, and a video-playback screen.
• Content will be movies exclusively for this first release; future TV-show or documentary sections can remain stubs or be left out entirely.
• Feel free to integrate whichever player you’re comfortable with (ExoPlayer, VLC, or a lightweight custom solution); just abstract it so I can swap it later if needed.
• Use dummy JSON or a simple Firebase/Firestore back end to serve poster art, titles, descriptions, and stream URLs—I mainly need to see the end-to-end pipeline working.
• Clean, commented code and clear setup instructions should let me build and run the app locally without guesswork.
Deliverables
1. Flutter source code for the MVP.
2. README covering setup, dependencies, and how to add new movie entries.
3. Brief hand-off call or screen-share (optional but appreciated) to walk through the project structure.
Keep design minimal—Material 3 defaults or a lightweight custom theme are fine. My priority is a functional prototype I can use as a foundation for future iterations.
