Flutter Hyperlocal App, firebase and Supabase
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m building a hyper-local marketplace and need an experienced Flutter developer who is comfortable working with both Supabase and Firebase/DataConnect. The first release must run seamlessly on Android, iOS, as a PWA, and as a browser-based web app from one shared Flutter code-base.
Core modules I need you to deliver:
• Local service listings – CRUD operations stored in Supabase Postgres with real-time updates.
• In-app messaging – user-to-user chat using Supabase real-time channels, with push notifications routed through Firebase where required.
• Skill-sharing module.
Authentication & user flow
Users should be able to sign up and sign in on every platform mentioned above. Supabase Auth can handle the session layer, but if you prefer to proxy selected events through Firebase or social logins I’m open to suggestions—what matters is a friction-free, secure flow.
Tech specifics
Flutter 3.x, null-safety on.
Supabase JS/Dart SDK for database, storage, and real-time.
Optional Firebase hooks (Analytics, Cloud Messaging) connected through Firebase Data Connect or equivalent bridge, with clean separation in the code so either backend can be swapped or scaled independently.
Deliverables
1. Complete Flutter project in Git with clear README and environment files.
2. Supabase schema, SQL/Edge functions, and seed data scripts.
3. Working messaging prototype deployed to a Supabase project I’ll provide.
4. Short Loom/video walkthrough showing build and deployment steps.
Acceptance criteria
• App compiles and runs on Android, iOS, Chrome (PWA), and as a direct web build without platform-specific errors.
• Creating, editing, and deleting a listing syncs in real time across two devices.
• Messages deliver instantly and remain available after refresh.
• All code follows Flutter/Dart formatting and is lint-clean.
If you have shipped multi-platform Flutter apps that lean on Supabase before, let’s talk.
