Flutter Firebase push notifications iOS limitations

Hi

I'm making a simple app iOS using Flutter and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to receive push notifications. A basic application is written and it is working fine.

However, according to the documentation here, https://firebase.google.com/docs/cloud-messaging/flutter/receive, there is a limitation for iOS:

"On iOS, if the user swipes away the application from the app switcher, it must be manually reopened for background messages to start working again."

I was wondering if there is a workaround to fixing this? For example, Facebook messages will still work even if you swipe away from the app switcher or if you close the app, or if you restart the device.

Can you develop a template iOS Flutter app specific for iOS that will address the issue:
Basically I want the ability to receive notifications even if I restart my phone and even if I close the app (similar behavior to Facebook messages).

Please let me know if this is possible.
