Flutter Developer (Sydney-Based Preferred) for Fast-Moving Mobile App Team
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We’re looking for a Flutter developer based in Sydney (or NSW, QLD, VIC) to join our sprint cycles and help rapidly build, iterate, and improve an already-live mobile product. This isn’t a full-time role, but rather an opportunity to work with an experienced dev team during high-priority sprints — contributing to fast execution and meaningful product growth.
We’re an experienced, execution-focused team building a personal growth platform with a strong social core. The app is live on both Google Play and the App Store, with users engaging daily across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, India, Italy, and more. We’re now entering the early stages of product-market fit, and the pace is picking up quickly.
You won’t be walking into a polished or over-engineered codebase — this is a functional, evolving system that prioritizes speed, iteration, and real user feedback over architectural perfection. You’ll be joining a team that is focused, sharp, and serious about what we’re building.
We’re incorporated as a US C Corp with plans to raise capital in the near future. This is not a side hustle or junior-led MVP — you’ll be working with professionals who know how to move fast and execute well.
? You Must Be:
• Based in Sydney (preferred), or NSW / QLD / VIC — we will not review applicants outside these locations.
• A solo, independent engineer — no agencies or reps.
• Experienced in startups or early-stage tech — you know how to work through chaos and ambiguity.
• Technically strong, with a can-do mindset and a willingness to tackle complexity head-on.
• Comfortable working during Sydney hours, with some evening availability to sync with our backend team in Pakistan.
• Confident communicating clearly with offshore engineers in a remote-first setup.
• Happy to dive into a growing, imperfect codebase and help improve it over time.
? Skills & Experience We Value:
• Extensive Flutter + Dart experience.
• Experience working within both iOS and Android ecosystems — you understand the platform-specific behaviors, limitations, and requirements that come with dual deployment.
• Mobile-first mindset, with a track record of building fully-featured mobile apps from end to end.
• Familiarity with tools and platforms we use, including MongoDB, Socket.IO, Backblaze, SendGrid, Firebase, Azure, Node.js, and Express.
• Deep understanding of real-time systems (messaging, sockets, live updates) — this is a critical part of our platform.
• Bonus if you’ve worked on global products with social or real-time elements.
• Ideally full stack (Flutter + backend), but strong front-end specialists welcome.
• You won’t be asked to contribute to product strategy or analysis unless you want to — this is a hands-on technical role.
