Experienced Flutter Developer for Offline-First Field Operations Mobile App (Project AM)

We are developing Project AM, a SaaS platform.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Flutter developer to build the core functionality of the Project AM mobile application for Android and iOS. You will be responsible for developing a robust, performant, and intuitive app that handles offline data storage, complex image workflows (capture, editing, annotation), background synchronization, and seamless integration with our backend.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop the Flutter mobile application from scratch or based on existing architecture plans.
Implement the core features for field operations: task lists, data capture forms, reporting, and deficiency tracking.
Design and implement a robust offline-first data architecture using Drift / SQLite for local data storage and retrieval.
Develop reliable background synchronization logic for both Android (WorkManager) and iOS (Background Fetch) to sync local data with the backend.
Integrate and implement advanced image handling features:
Image capture (using camera/gallery).
Image cropping and compression.
Image annotation and drawing directly on images (using libraries like signature, custom_paint, or flutter_image_editor).
Integrate with the chosen backend for authentication (Supabase Auth or custom REST API with token-based auth/SMS OTP) and data exchange.
Implement state management using Riverpod, Provider, or BLoC (experience with one or more is required).
Ensure data security by implementing secure local storage mechanisms (flutter_secure_storage).
Optimize app performance and build size for smooth operation on various Android and iOS devices, including potentially lower-end devices.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (flutter_test).
Collaborate closely with the project lead and potentially backend developers.
Adhere to the technical plan and provided architectural guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience building and deploying complex, production-ready mobile applications with Flutter (Stable Channel).
MUST HAVE significant experience implementing offline-first architecture and data synchronization strategies in Flutter.
Hands-on experience with Drift or other SQLite databases in Flutter.
Experience implementing background tasks and sync on both Android and iOS (WorkManager, Background Fetch).
Strong proficiency in implementing advanced image capture, processing, and annotation features in Flutter (using relevant packages like image_picker, camera, image_cropper, flutter_image_compress, signature, custom_paint, flutter_image_editor).
Experience integrating with REST APIs or Supabase services (Auth, Database, Storage).
Expertise in a major Flutter state management solution (Riverpod, Provider, or BLoC).
Experience with secure local data storage (flutter_secure_storage).
Proficiency with Git version control (GitHub/GitLab).
Ability to write well-structured, performant, and testable code.
Bonus Points:
Experience in building applications for field service, operations, or industries like Branding/Advertising.
Experience with performance profiling and optimization in Flutter.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Flutter (e.g., Codemagic, GitHub Actions).
Experience with testing strategies beyond basic unit tests (integration tests, device testing).
