Transform Existing Stripe Onboarding Into Airbnb/Turo Style Marketplace Experience

About Jebby

Jebby is a two-sided rental marketplace that allows users to rent everyday items from other people in their community.

Think:

* Airbnb for everyday items
* Turo for tools, equipment, electronics, outdoor gear, etc.

We currently have:

* Flutter mobile application (iOS & Android)
* Node.js backend
* Stripe Connect Express integration already working
* Existing provider onboarding flow implemented
* Existing renter and provider marketplace functionality

Current Situation

Our current provider onboarding uses Stripe Connect Express onboarding.

The onboarding has already been redesigned and currently follows:

The system works.

However, we want a much more premium user experience similar to Airbnb, Turo, Uber, and other modern marketplaces.

Project Goal

Transform onboarding from a Stripe-driven experience into a Jebby-owned experience.

The user should feel like they are onboarding with Jebby, not Stripe.

Desired Experience

Provider taps:

“Become a Provider”

Then sees:

Personal Information

* First Name
* Last Name
* Email
* Phone Number
* Address

Screen 2

Identity Verification

* Driver’s License
* Passport
* State ID

Upload process should be simple and mobile-friendly.

Bank Account Setup

Preferred:

* Plaid integration

Alternative:

* Routing Number
* Account Number

Review & Submit

User reviews information and submits.

Stripe Requirements

Stripe Connect Express will remain the payment processor.

The objective is:

* Create Stripe Connect account via API
* Prefill collected information
* Submit data to Stripe
* Request verification

Only redirect user to Stripe if additional KYC requirements are needed.

Examples:

* SSN verification
* Selfie verification
* Additional documents
* Proof of address

If Stripe requires nothing else, onboarding should complete entirely inside Jebby.

User Experience Requirements

We want:

* Airbnb-level onboarding
* Turo-level onboarding
* Under 2 minutes to become a provider
* Minimal drop-off
* Fully branded Jebby experience
* Mobile-first design
* Progress indicators
* Save progress and resume later
