Cross-Platform FixIt Service App
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m building FixIt, a mobile marketplace that instantly connects homeowners with vetted plumbers, electricians, carpenters and painters. I want a single code-base solution that ships clean, native experiences on both iOS and Android, so feel free to lean on Flutter, React Native or any comparable cross-platform stack you’re comfortable with.
Core features to deliver
• User profile creation and editing, including photo upload, service history and payment preferences
• A smooth, multi-step booking flow where customers select a service, pick time slots and confirm
• Real-time chat so users and professionals can coordinate details without leaving the app
Smart search and discovery
Search must let people filter pros by service type, narrow results by current location/GPS radius, and sort by ratings and reviews. Results should load quickly and show clear pricing and ETA indicators.
Architecture expectations
Secure REST or GraphQL API integration (I already have endpoints sketched out), Firebase or a comparable push notification service for booking updates, and Stripe or a similar gateway for in-app payments. Clean MVC/MVVM or other modern modular pattern is a must for maintainability, and Git will host the repo.
Acceptance criteria
1. Both stores receive builds that pass TestFlight / Google Play internal testing without critical bugs.
2. All three core features and the full search flow function end-to-end against our staging backend.
3. UI follows the wireframes I’ll provide, adapts gracefully down to iPhone SE / small Android screens, and meets WCAG AA contrast guidelines.
4. You supply commented source code, a short setup README and a one-hour handoff call.
