Hello,
I am looking for an experienced developer to install, configure, and validate a Python-based algorithmic trading system connected to Interactive Brokers (IBKR).
The project is already developed and structured. I need a professional to finalize the setup and ensure everything runs properly in a stable environment.
Project Overview:
• Python trading bot using IBKR TWS API
• Multi-symbol trading (stocks)
• Strategy based on moving averages
• Risk management engine included
• Bracket orders (entry, take profit, trailing stop)
• SQLite database for logs (orders, executions, PnL)
• Web dashboard (Flask) for monitoring
• Auto-reconnect and recovery system
• Pause / Resume / Kill switch control
Scope of Work:
1. Install and configure environment (Python, dependencies)
2. Connect and configure IBKR (TWS or IB Gateway – paper trading first)
3. Verify API connection and market data flow
4. Configure contracts (conId via reqContractDetails)
5. Validate PnL tracking (reqPnLSingle)
6. Ensure bracket orders execute correctly
7. Test full workflow (signals → orders → executions → logs)
8. Verify SQLite database logging
9. Launch and test dashboard locally
10. Implement basic error handling and reconnection validation
11. Provide clear documentation for usage
Requirements:
• Strong experience with Python
• Experience with IBKR API (TWS / IB Gateway)
• Knowledge of algorithmic trading systems
• Experience with Flask and SQLite
• Ability to debug real-time systems
Important:
• This must be tested in paper trading only (no live trading initially)
• Stability and reliability are critical
• Clean and professional setup required
Deliverables:
• Fully working system on my machine/server
• Verified IBKR connection
• Functional dashboard
• Step-by-step usage instructions
• Confirmation tests completed
