We are a nonprofit seeking an Adaptive Fitness Instructor to lead our ongoing “EveryBody Moves” group fitness class for adults with disabilities. This is a recurring, part-time independent contractor role—ideal for a trainer looking to supplement existing work with meaningful, community-focused instruction.

About the Class
• Small, supportive group
• Focus on mobility, strength, posture, balance, and confidence
• Inclusive format with seated and standing options
• Emphasis on safety, encouragement, and community

Responsibilities
• Lead a 60-minute adaptive group fitness class (warm-up, strength, cool-down)
• Provide exercise modifications for varying mobility levels
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all participants
• Monitor form and safety, particularly related to balance and bone health

Qualifications
• Certified Fitness Instructor (ACE, NASM, ACSM, or similar)
• CPR/AED certified
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, adaptive fitness, or special populations strongly preferred
• Comfortable offering real-time modifications and cues
• Empathetic, reliable, and people-first coaching style

Logistics
• Location: Cary, NC (in person)
• Schedule: Tuesdays, 4:45–5:45 pm
• Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
• Commitment: Ongoing, 1 hour per week
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
