Fix VCDial Installation Issue on Alma Linux 9

Job ID: 39816214

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

i installed vcdial on alma 9 linux but we have this issue and below we believe can be the problem Thank you for running the port scan and providing the detailed results.

From what you’ve shared, it seems the issue may be related to UDP port 5060 being blocked or filtered somewhere on the network path. While the scan shows that TCP 5060 is closed, it’s important that UDP 5060 is open for proper SIP communication, which could explain why the calls aren’t going through.

Here’s what I will do next:

Verify the firewall settings: I'll double-check both the server firewall (UFW, iptables) and any other potential network restrictions on the Linode instance to make sure UDP port 5060 is open.

Test the SIP configuration: I'll also check the SIP settings in VCDial to ensure they’re set to use the correct protocols.

Run additional tests: Once the firewall is configured, I’ll run test calls again to confirm everything is functioning properly.

If I don't find any issues locally, we might need to investigate the network route between Linode and the SIP provider, in case there's an external filtering issue happening outside of our control.
