Product Requirements Document: Aurum Investment Platform
1. Executive Summary & Design Philosophy
Objective:
To build a sophisticated, trustworthy investment advisory application targeting UHNIs, HNIs, and founders seeking strategic liquidity and wealth management. The platform provides an exclusive alternative to traditional investment apps by combining high-end wealth management with highly efficient, AI-driven investment management. Investment-related data is analyzed and broken down by AI for the investor to understand their current scenario and their goal path towards achieving their desired net worth.

Design Language:
The interface must utilize an ultra-premium, minimalistic aesthetic restricted strictly to two primary colors. The UI must avoid crowding, instantly establishing trust, professionalism, and an elite feel. The app must show credibility with SEBI Registrations and past user testimonials from the upper class of society (e.g., NRIs, UHNIs, parents seeking children's education financial planning) to ensure target audience relatability.

Operational Model:
The platform operates as a strict "revenue operator" model. The app replaces initial human advisory with an advanced AI funnel designed to create trust by adding value at different steps without overwhelming or scaring the prospect. The system aggressively scales small and medium ticket conversions without human interference. It promises a "Human-in-the-Loop" for high-ticket conversions, but this criteria is fulfilled only if the investor passes a certain threshold of social standing, net worth, annual income, or has a huge corpus to invest. However, for all sizes of prospects, there is absolutely zero human interference in the onboarding phase.

2. User Onboarding & Data Aggregation
The application initiates by requesting the user's phone number, email ID, and age.

The system then prompts the user for their PAN number.

Data aggregation requires two distinct OTPs.

The first OTP is fetched from MF Utility (or Cams) to pull Mutual Fund data.

The second OTP is fetched from Finvu to pull stocks, bank account details, insurance details, and pension details.

The recurring data access option must be explicitly chosen for both MF Utility and Finvu.

Upon verification, the UI presents a beautiful, uncrowded, culminated view of total holdings across all asset classes.

3. The AI-Driven Conversion Funnel
Stage 1: The "Stay Bait" (Basic Portfolio Health Scan)

The UI gently nudges the user via a trustworthy pop-up to take a free portfolio health scan.

The user answers basic profiling questions.

The AI evaluates the aggregated data to draw conclusions on total returns, equity, and debt allocation.

The visual report highlights international exposure, top 10 returns, top 10 highest holdings, and the quality of debt holdings.

Assets are categorized against benchmarks as underperforming, in line, or overperforming.

The report displays a risk and reward scatterplot, identifying missed asset classes and missed gains.

This report highlights both portfolio gaps and plus points, but strictly does not provide actionable investment solutions.

The report gently nudges the user to understand that there is a gap between their current investments and what Aurum can provide, illustrating how the platform bridges the gap to their desired net worth.

Based on the portfolio, future money requirements, and risk profiler answers, a customized pitch is created (focusing on retirement planning, active wealth creation, education planning, etc.).

Stage 2: The Upsell (AI Financial Planner Call & Detailed Report)

To get solutions for the identified gaps, the user is prompted to take a deep-dive call with an AI bot.

This AI voice/video agent operates exactly like a realistic, elite MFD/RIA, conducting a comprehensive interview regarding their financial condition, goals, and liabilities.

Following the call, the AI curates a highly detailed, personalized financial report and actionable recommendations that strictly follow the regulatory requirements of an MFD/RIA (a total list of details to be recorded will be maintained).

The AI runs the answers through a pre-fed database and, based on the prospect's responses, outputs the most suitable basket of investment products.

The choice between the MFD (paying no fees) or RIA (paying an annual fee) model lies entirely in the hands of the prospect.

The reasons for having both options are clearly presented, and the application flow completely varies based on the chosen answer.

Access to this detailed report is locked behind a payment gateway.

Upon choosing the MFD/RIA Model, a foolproof technical architecture must be planned to seamlessly integrate their assets into our code.

Stage 3: The Goal (Basket Execution Platform)

Upon payment, the user unlocks their detailed report.

The platform presents the user with the AI-curated Mutual Fund (MF) or stock baskets specifically recommended for them.

The user utilizes the platform's transaction interface to seamlessly execute the purchase of these baskets, locking them into the Aurum ecosystem.

4. Post-Conversion Features
Premium AI Chatbot (Gemini-Style)

Users who have completed the funnel and purchased their recommended baskets gain access to an exclusive AI chat window.

This chatbot acts as an ongoing financial assistant, allowing users to ask questions about their current financial condition, portfolio performance, and market trends at any time.

Risk Profiler & Growth Projections

During the engagement process, the user answers a risk profiler questionnaire assessing their investment timeframe, style, and goals.

The system generates an "Investor Behavioral Report" analyzing their volatility tolerance, emotional profile, recoverability confidence, and obligation levels.

The profiler asks two specific input questions: "What is the monthly SIP that you will do?" and "What is the lumpsum that you can invest right now?".

An integrated calculator projects the investment corpus over 5-year and 10-year periods directly in the report.

5. Legal Engagement Frameworks (RIA vs. MFD)
The UI must present these two stages as fully distinguished, legally distinct engagement frameworks inside one investment platform for SEBI compliance, auditability, and litigation protection.

Model A: Mutual Fund Distributor (MFD)

The investor chooses to buy "Regular Schemes".

Aurum is paid by the manufacturer; no additional fee is charged to the user.

The UI must include explicit ARN disclosures, commission disclosures, and trail structures.

The AI acts as an educator, explainer, behavioral coach, and research summarizer.

Model B: Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)

The investor chooses to buy "Direct schemes" and pay an annual advisory fee.

The payment is dynamically dependent on their SIP and Lumpsum investment values.

The AI generates a formal Investment Policy Statement (IPS) detailing financial goals, expected returns, risk limits, asset allocation ranges, rebalancing policy, liquidity policy, and tax optimization.

For existing portfolio holders, Aurum offers a free one-on-one session, goal planning, and insurance support if they change their broker to Aurum.

For portfolios above 50 lakhs (MFD or RIA), an in-person or Google Meet with a human advisor is advocated.

6. Backend, Analytics, & Infrastructure
The database must track the exact duration a person stays on the health scan report.

The system must log "drop-offs" who attempted to invest but did not proceed.

The admin dashboard must generate a detailed report of client names, ages, addresses, SIPs, lumpsums, portfolio valuations, bank balances, job roles, and annual incomes.

Portfolio valuations must be categorized under direct, regular, or demat folios.

The system must provide weekly and monthly business analysis, clearly separating revenue generated in the RIA model versus the MFD model.

The dashboard must track active clients and log requests for in-person meetings.

7. Compliance Strictures
MFD Rules & Prohibited Practices

ARN Visibility: The tagline must mention "AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor" in good font; the ARN Code must be on all reports.

Churning: Over-transacting for commission is mis-selling and strictly prohibited.

Commission Disclosure: Must disclose commissions and explicitly prohibit rebating commissions to clients.

Nomenclature: Cannot use the "Financial Planner" title without SEBI RIA registration.

Full Trail Model: Upfront commissions are prohibited; the full trail model is mandatory.

Social Media & Advertising

Content Limits: Educational content is allowed, but no scheme-specific recommendations or predictions of future returns are permitted.

AMC Approvals: Must use promotional material provided by AMCs; custom designs need prior written approval from the AMC.

Inducements: Cannot attract clients through "free advice" or "free portfolio review" phrasing.

KYC, Audit, & Record Keeping

KYC Compliance: Mandatory verification via KRA and In-Person Verification (IPV) before transactions.

Retention: KYC, transaction records, and product suitability assessments must be maintained for 5 years after account closure.

Complaint Tracking: Must maintain a physical or digital complaint register and track resolution status.

Execution-Only: Must send written communication about non-suitability for execution-only transactions if deemed unfit.
