I need a structural engineer to verify how a freestanding steel guardrail—mounted on adjustable rooftop pedestals—will behave when subjected to wind, seismic activity, and accidental human impact. The purpose of the study is to confirm overall stability and make sure the installation can safely resist lateral forces without relying on roof penetrations.

Scope
• Review my existing layout drawings, pedestal spacing, and steel member specs.
• Model the system (FEM software such as SAP2000, STAAD, or similar) to simulate combined wind, seismic, and point-load cases in line with IBC and OSHA guardrail criteria.
• Provide a calculation package that clearly states governing load combinations, deflections, safety factors, and anchor reactions (if any).
• Identify the maximum pedestal height that can safely resist lateral loads without additional reinforcement or bracing.
• Summarize any reinforcement or ballast recommendations needed to meet code.
• Deliverables: PDF engineering report, native calculation files, and the editable analysis model.

If you hold a U.S. PE license, note whether you can optionally stamp the final report for an additional fee; this is not mandatory but would be beneficial.
