I NEED A SIMULATION ENGINEER THAT KNOWS HOW TO USE ABAQUS, JUST THE ABAQUS PART , NOT TO WRITE THE ESSAYS, JUST THE REQUIRED SIMULATIONS

Job ID: 33603510

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

It is an optimization problem: Shift Fork Design Optimisation for Lightweight Gearbox
Applications. I JUST NEED THE ABAQUS PART ; the simulations
1 ) Initial design simulation and geometry: skill in the application of Abaqus to carry out linear analysis
on the initial design (Fig.1). The geometry is created by Abaqus/CAE or others (10 marks)
2) Design improvement: use non-linear contact analysis to improve your initial design iteratively by
satisfying the design specifications. The iteration number (8 is popular one) will be decided by the
students due to their individual approach. The contact pressure values are not used to be compared
with the yielding strength but is only used to identify the contact location and distribution (20 marks).
3) Evaluation: ability to interpret each design iteration simulation results and critically evaluate them
against the design requirements and to make the design improvements. (20 marks)
4) Mesh convergence for final design (see Tutorial 2): to judge a suitable mesh density through
changing seed numbers or element size, i.e. the mesh is said to be converged when further mesh
refinement produces a negligible change in the solution (10 marks)
5) Dynamics for final design: skill to carry out linear dynamic simulation and analysis to find out the
fork's natural frequency for avoiding resonance (10 marks).
6) Static validation for final design: ability to apply conventional engineering theory (e.g. cantilever
bending) to validate the static FEM results (5 marks)**
7) Dynamic validation for final design: ability to apply conventional engineering theory (e.g. spring
natural frequency) to validate the dynamic FEM natural frequency results (5 marks)**
8) Material investigations for final design: ability to simulate and analyse alternative materials for the
shift fork application (10 marks).
