Flexure Design for Voice Coil

I am building a miniature voice-coil actuator and I need a seasoned mechanical engineer to design a flat stainless-steel flexure (also called a spider) production-ready for photochemical etching.

The priorities are clear: long-term durability comes first, so every decision—geometry, thickness, fillet radius—should drive stress down to safe margins while still giving me an axial travel of about ±5 mm with excellent self-centering and minimal tilt. Your core task is design optimisation; material selection and other technical advises are welcome., but the optimisation itself must lead.

Key parameters you will start from
• around 50 mm outer diameter (we can configure this based on stress analysis)
• 19.5 mm clear centre hole
• Spring stainless, 0.05–0.10 mm thick (confirm best gauge)

Analysis focus
A concise static FEA that shows stress distribution and stiffness, with clear evidence that the design minimises peak stress while keeping the desired stroke.

Deliverables
1. Final 2-D flexure geometry in DXF and STEP format, ready for photochemical etching.
2. FEA report (figures, summary tables, solver set-up).
3. Recommended material grade/thickness with reasoning.
