Design 110k RPM Micro BLDC
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m developing a 28 mm, 310 V, three-phase micro BLDC that must safely spin at 110,000 rpm for an industrial-grade hair-dryer style application. Low audible noise is the top priority, even under prolonged high-temperature airflow.
I already have target dimensions and supply voltage; what I need now is an experienced motor engineer who can take those parameters and turn them into a manufacturable design that meets industrial equipment standards for reliability and lifetime. Finite-element magnetic optimisation, rotor-dynamic balancing, bearing selection and detailed winding data all have to come together so the final unit stays whisper-quiet at full speed. Thermal modelling is equally important because the motor will live in a hot air stream.
Deliverables
• Electromagnetic design files and simulations (Maxwell, Motor-CAD or similar)
• Complete mechanical drawings with tolerances ready for CNC/prototyping
• Winding specification, material list and assembly notes
• Predicted performance curves (torque, efficiency, noise, temperature rise)
• Recommendations for driver topology compatible with 310 V three-phase supply
I will supply any existing 3D models and performance targets on project start. A quick turnaround for the first concept is appreciated, followed by iterative refinement until the noise and thermal goals are fully met.
