Ansys Transient Thermal Analysis for Concrete
Budget: $30 – $250 SGD
I am seeking an experienced Ansys professional to conduct a transient thermal analysis on concrete materials. The project will involve:
- Utilizing Ansys for comprehensive transient thermal evaluations on concrete.
- Interpreting the results to assess thermal performance and potential stresses.
Ideal candidates should have:
- Proficiency in Ansys, particularly in conducting thermal analyses.
- Solid understanding of concrete as a material.
- Ability to interpret complex simulation data.
Please provide examples of similar projects you've completed in your proposal.

FEA Simulations for Mass Concrete Slabs
Project goal
To develop detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations for thermal analysis of mass concrete slabs in a capstone project.
Scope of work
- Create detailed models for the Tunnel Roof, Cable Chamber, and B1 slabs.
- Match experimental data for validation of Tunnel Roof and Cable Chamber slabs.
- Predict thermal behavior of the B1 slab with specific dimensions and conditions.
- Set up geometry in ANSYS Discovery with precise dimensions.
- Apply material properties for GGBS-modified concrete.
- Define boundary conditions for the environment and initial slab temperatures.
- Create a refined mesh in critical slab core zones.
- Run time-dependent thermal analysis over a 48-hour curing period.
- Generate various analysis outputs including temperature distributions, thermal gradients, and maximum temperature differentials.
- Validate FEA results with experimental data and calculate error percentages.
Additional information
- Thermal conductivity of GGBS concrete, specific heat capacity, density, heat of hydration curve for GGBS-modified concrete, convection coefficients for exposed surfaces.
