6m Aluminium Pole Design Calculations
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a complete structural package for a 6-metre aluminium street-lighting pole that will be installed in a rural setting and carry LED fixtures. Two configurations are required—one with a single outreach arm and a second with twin arms.
The report must demonstrate:
• compliance with AASHTO wind-loading provisions at 120 km/h
• calculated deflections that remain below the allowable limit for each arm option
• section sizing checks for the shaft, arm(s) and base plate
• anchor-bolt verification based on readily available standard bolts size M24
Please include clear software calculations, concise sketches or CAD extracts showing critical dimensions, and a short summary that links each result back to the code clause used. I will review the work against AASHTO criteria, so reference every assumption and load combination directly to the relevant tables or equations.
Deliverables
1. Calculation report (PDF) for single-arm pole
2. Calculation report (PDF) for twin-arm pole
3. Supporting drawings or excerpts (DWG or PDF) showing geometry, bolt layout and section properties
4. Editable file of any spreadsheet or finite-element model used
I will approve the job once the numbers close, deflection limits are respected, and the documentation is clear enough for a third-party checker to follow without back-and-forth.
