Retrieve sections from proxy statements
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hello
I am looking for support on the following project:
I want to extract specific sections of so-called DEF 14-A (proxy statements). The sections cover firms’ Corporate Governance and one Voting Proposal. I need these sections for 120 firms for the filing years 2010-22. More details will follow.
This is most likely a manual job as the sections I am interested in have (slightly) different titles and titles vary over the years. Important is that the topic of the sections is comparable over a year and across companies. Therefore, this requires first searching for the relevant sections in the proxy statements and, second, manually copy+pasting the passages into a docx-file (or using software for section retrieval – if this is useful given the variance of section names).
The outcome:
1) 1 file (e.g., docx) per company with the retrieved sections and clear identification of the 13 years covered. You can remove images but not tables. I will provide a template/example of this
2) 1 file (e.g., xls) with an overview of the section’s “start and end name” you used to retrieve the relevant sections in 1). This is for each company and year, so, for 1,560 firms/rows. I have a template and examples of this
I would need to have this work done by Sunday 26 June 2022.
I am looking forward to working together with you.
Thanks
PS: Once this first part of the project is closed, there will be – given good collaboration – the opportunity to work on a second part.
