Zero-Emission Data Center Business Model
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are looking for an experienced business and financial modeling expert to help us build the foundational business model for a Zero-Emission Data Center project.
This project is not just a green initiative. It is designed as a true zero-emission data center, powered primarily by renewable energy sources and supported by natural gas and/or grid electricity for backup and resilience, meeting high availability and reliability standards.
What we need (key outcomes)
This is a focused, outcome-driven engagement.
We are specifically looking for two core deliverables:
An Excel-based business & financial model template
A one-page investor summary
The Excel file is the main deliverable. It must be a template built from scratch, fully editable and modular, which we will continue to refine as the project evolves.
Excel Business & Financial Model Template
The model should include, at a minimum:
Clear structure and assumptions (no black-box formulas)
Development phases and timelines
CAPEX and OPEX logic by phase
Energy mix assumptions (renewables + backup systems)
Financing structure (seed, equity, debt / JV options)
10-year cash flow projection
Key outputs: EBITDA, NPV, IRR, break-even point
Basic sensitivity and scenario analysis
This template will be used as a living model for internal decision-making and investor discussions.
Investor One-Page
We also need a concise, investor-ready one-page document that clearly explains:
The project concept and value proposition
Zero-emissions positioning
Energy and resilience strategy
Market opportunity
High-level financial logic (from the model)
Development roadmap and investment rationale
The goal is to communicate the opportunity clearly and quickly to early-stage investors.
Ideal profile
5+ years of experience in business modeling, infrastructure, energy, or technology projects
Strong Excel financial modeling skills (mandatory)
Experience with data centers, energy, or capital-intensive projects is a strong plus
Ability to translate complex projects into clear investor-friendly materials
Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
