Validate My Project Finance Model
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’ve completed a multi-sheet project finance model in Excel and now need a fresh, expert set of eyes on it before I rely on the numbers for a full feasibility study. Your task is to audit every key component—formulas, links, and assumptions—so I can move forward knowing the outputs are sound.
What I need from you
• A line-by-line review of the workbook, confirming that each formula pulls the intended data and that circular references (if any) are properly handled.
• Stress-testing of the core assumptions on revenues, costs, and investment returns, with clear explanations of where they appear optimistic, conservative, or internally inconsistent.
• A concise memo (or comment sheet inside the file) summarising flagged issues, recommended fixes, and their quantitative impact on IRR, NPV, and other headline metrics.
• A clean, corrected version of the model, ready to present for feasibility approval.
Acceptance criteria
1. All identified errors are corrected or explained, with track-changes or notes for transparency.
2. Sensitivity tables demonstrate the effect of key drivers on cash flow and viability.
3. Executive summary is clear enough for non-technical stakeholders to understand the model’s robustness.
Excel proficiency is essential, and familiarity with typical project finance structures—debt sculpting, DSCR covenants, and waterfall distributions—will make the review more efficient. If you’ve previously audited models for lenders or advisory firms, even better.
The model is ready to share under NDA. Let me know your turnaround time and any clarifying questions.
