Microsoft Copilot Investment Valuation

University Project: Examine and evaluate a recently disclosed investment project in Microsoft and the project selected is Microsoft Copilot.

The ultimate goal is to develop a professional-quality project valuation and provide clear recom-
mendations to the company’s management regarding whether the project should be
pursued, continued, or reconsidered. The analysis should include the core compo-
nents of a professional valuation. In particular:
• Estimate the project’s expected cash flows, including relevant revenue, cost, and
financing assumptions
• Develop a discounted cash flow (DCF) model to compute net present value (NPV)
and internal rate of return (IRR)
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to examine how results vary under
alternative assumptions
• Employ simulation techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulation) to assess project
risk and the distribution of potential outcomes
What I need is:1. A written report (approximately 10 pages not including figures and graphs) pre-
senting the analysis, supported by quantitative models, and offering a
clear recommendation on whether the project should be funded or abandoned
2. A presentation summarizing the key findings and conclusions
