Set Up Company Accounting System

I recently formed a new company and need a qualified accountant to build our accounting framework from the ground up. My books are still a blank slate, so the first task is to help me choose and configure the most suitable cloud-based platform—whether that ends up being QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, or another option you can justify.

Once the software is in place, I’ll rely on you to create an organised chart of accounts, record any opening balances, and establish clear processes for ongoing bookkeeping. I also want the system structured so tax returns and management reports can be produced quickly when the time comes.

Deliverables I have in mind:
• Selection and setup of the accounting software, including user access and basic settings
• Chart of accounts tailored to my business model
• Templates or automated workflows for monthly bookkeeping and expense capture
• Walk-through (live or recorded) so I understand how to keep everything up to date
• A short hand-over note detailing next steps for tax filing and financial reporting
