We are a startup in the launch phase, developing a digital products marketplace. Our model allows independent creators from around the world to sell their business solutions (templates, guides, etc.) to a global audience.
We are looking for an experienced financial and operational consultant to help us build the right, scalable payment infrastructure from scratch and develop our monetization model.
What We Need From You (Key Tasks):
We are looking for an expert for a comprehensive project-based engagement. Your key responsibilities will be:
Selection and Connection Strategy for a Global Payment System:
Conduct a comparative analysis of 2-3 leading global platforms that support a marketplace model with automated split payments.
Provide a final recommendation on the choice of platform, considering our needs: working with individual creators, global payouts, and a simple onboarding process.
Develop a step-by-step plan for registration and integration with the chosen system.
Development of a Financial & Monetization Model:
Based on the features and fees of the selected platform, create a detailed financial model for our marketplace.
Calculate and justify the optimal platform commission fee that will ensure business profitability while remaining attractive to our creators.
Set up a simple management reporting system (P&L, Cash Flow).
Consultation on Operational Processes:
Provide recommendations for building a secure and compliant onboarding process for creators from different regions (Europe, India, etc.), considering KYC/AML requirements.
Help us formulate clear payment policies and FAQs for our creators.
Candidate Requirements:
Deep practical experience with global payment systems that support a marketplace model (e.g., Stripe Connect, Adyen for Platforms, PayPal for Marketplaces).
Experience building financial models and calculating unit economics for digital platforms (marketplaces, SaaS).
Understanding of the operational and compliance aspects of international payments (KYC, AML, taxes).
Fluent in English to analyze documentation.
Ability to explain complex financial and technical issues in simple terms.
