Supply Chain & Business Finance Controller (Remote, Europe)
Budget: €1,500 – €3,000 EUR
Cash-linked inventory planning, logistics optimization & business financial controlling
Location: Remote (Europe), 4–6h overlap with EET/EEST (Tallinn)
Employment: Full-time
About ANSWR
ANSWR is a growing home-salon beauty brand expanding globally. We keep operations lean and decisions data-driven.
The Role
This is a two-hat role: you’ll run business financial controlling end-to-end and lead supply chain & logistics. You’ll own the management accounts, cash & forecasts, and unit economics by channel while negotiating smarter costs and moving inventory efficiently. Your top mission is to end stockouts without starving cash by owning cash-constrained inventory planning. We’re looking for someone highly self-directed, who writes the playbook and then runs it.
Responsibilities
A) Supply Chain, Logistics & Cost Optimisation
- Build a rolling demand & supply plan (26–52 weeks)
- Set reorder policies per SKU (ABC/XYZ segmentation, min/max, ROP + safety stock).
- Link the plan to a live 13-week cash model and PO calendar; every PO is an explicit cash decision.
- Run a weekly exceptions report (under-/over-cover, next-PO decisions) and execute actions with suppliers
- Reduce stockouts and aged stock by using lead-time compression, MOQs, shipment consolidation, or VMI/consignment where possible.
- COGS & 3PL cost optimisation: Negotiate manufacturer pricing/lead times/terms; benchmark 3PL storage & pick/pack; consolidate lanes and shipments.
- Freight & forwarding: Manage forwarders (air/sea/road), incoterms, duties; track landed cost per shipment; cut surcharges.
B) Business Finance & Controlling
* Own the monthly close & management reporting: Coordinate with external accountants; deliver P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow; reconcile key accounts (inventory, freight accruals, returns, VAT).
* Budget & rolling forecast: Build the annual budget and maintain a 12–18-month rolling forecast tied to growth plans and launches.
* 13-week cash model & treasury: Run weekly cash forecasting, scenarios (launches, big POs, distributor deals), and payment calendars.
* Channel & SKU economics: Maintain margin waterfall (RRP → discounts → platform/3PL fees → COGS/freight/duties → contribution) by channel (D2C, Amazon, distributors, retail) and top SKUs.
* Structure and negotiate better terms with suppliers and B2B clients.
* Controls & compliance (with advisors): PO-to-invoice matching, inventory accounting/landed cost methodology, VAT coordination (EU/UK)
* Insights & dashboards: Build a simple weekly flash (sales, margin, cash, AR/AP) and a monthly KPI deck (growth, contribution, cash runway)
You’ll thrive here if you have
* Minimum 5 years across FP&A/controlling + supply chain (D2C/CPG; beauty a plus).
* Proven negotiator with manufacturers/3PLs/forwarders/B2B.
* Strong modelling (Excel/Sheets);
* Solid skills: inventory accounting, landed cost, VAT, incoterms.
* Located in Europe
* Fluent / native English
What we offer
* High-ownership role spanning finance and operations with real impact
* Remote with EET/EEST overlap
* Competitive compensation
