QuickBooks Chart of Accounts Cleanup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My QuickBooks Online file has become cluttered with duplicate, poorly named, and misclassified accounts, which is now impacting the accuracy of my financial reports. I’m looking for an experienced professional to carry out a focused cleanup of the chart of accounts.
Scope of work:
• Review, restructure, and streamline the chart of accounts by merging duplicates, correcting naming conventions, and ensuring alignment with best practices and GAAP.
• Reclassify and map existing transactions to the updated structure, including a review of the past 12 months to maintain consistency in historical data.
• Verify that opening balances and retained earnings reconcile correctly following the changes.
• Provide a concise handover document outlining updates made and recommendations for maintaining a clean and scalable structure going forward.
As the business operates across multiple sectors, the chart of accounts should remain flexible and not be limited to a single industry framework.
You’ll be working directly within my QuickBooks Online account. Please share your estimated timeline, preferred checkpoints, and any initial questions so we can proceed efficiently.
