GCC Financial Portal Feasibility & Requirements Study

Job ID: 39759044

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Freelancer Needed – Document & Feasibility Study for GCC Financial Portal

We are not yet building a website. At this stage we only need a specialized feasibility study + system requirements document that we will later hand over to developers.

The portal concept is similar to Argaam.com, but instead of focusing on Saudi Arabia, it will cover all GCC markets (Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain).

Scope of Work

You will prepare a professional document that explains:

Features & Workflows

What the website should include (companies data, sectors, IPO monitor, macro data, charts, analyst recommendations, etc.).

How users will navigate and use the features.

How data from exchanges, central banks, depositories, and statistics agencies will feed into the portal.

Comparison with Argaam & Others

What Argaam does well and where we can be better (UI/UX, depth of data, automation, charts, AI usage).

How this portal will differ from Bloomberg, S&P, Yahoo Finance.

Data Sources

GCC stock exchanges (Tadawul, ADX, DFM, QSE, Boursa Kuwait, MSX, BHB).

Central banks, depositories, regulators, and national statistics agencies.

Commodity prices (oil, gold, gas).

Automation

How to use APIs, scrapers, and AI tools so most data updates automatically.

Identify which limited data needs manual input.

Historical Data

Explain what must be entered manually at the beginning (e.g., past 5–10 years of financial statements, IPO history, sector ratios).

Suggest options to skip manual entry (e.g., bulk licensed datasets, vendor imports, scraping historical disclosures).

Analyst Recommendations

Procedure for aggregating analyst reports and showing consensus across GCC companies.

Technical Features

Live prices with fallbacks.

Charts with auto support/resistance.

Comparables/peer analysis tabs.

Export & notification functions.

Reliability

Ensure the document specifies how our data will be specialized, reliable, and credible compared to other sites.

Deliverable

A comprehensive feasibility + system requirements document, including:

Written explanations

Diagrams/workflows

Screenshots/links to sample data sources

Example page layouts

This document must be clear enough for any developer team to start building without guesswork.

Required Background

Strong financial markets knowledge (stocks, macroeconomics, analyst research).

Experience preparing system requirement documents for financial portals or data platforms.

Understanding of APIs, data feeds, automation, and AI.

Quick Reference Examples (must be addressed in the document)

IPO Monitor with listing date, offer price, lead manager, allocation status.

Company pages with financial statements, ratios, ownership, disclosures, and history.

Sector dashboards with GCC-wide comparables.

Macroeconomic dashboards (GDP, CPI, PMI, FX reserves, fiscal breakevens).

Analyst recommendation aggregation with consensus targets.

Interactive charts with auto support/resistance and overlays (oil, gold, USD index).

Export options (CSV/XLSX/API) and custom alerts (filings, dividends, ownership changes).

Historical data requirements (financials, IPOs, sector ratios) and how to feed them initially.

Data sources: stock exchanges, central banks, depositories, statistics offices, commodity benchmarks.

Clear differentiation vs Argaam, Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance in data depth and presentation.
