QuickBooks Online Cleanup — Full 2025 Books Reconstruction
I am looking for an experienced QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor to complete a full cleanup and reconstruction of a client's 2025 books. This is not a simple catch-up project — the books are in significant disarray and will require a methodical, experienced hand to correct properly.
Project Size & Scope
This is a small business client with approximately 50 transactions per month, totaling roughly 600 transactions across the full 2025 calendar year. There are 8 accounts requiring full 12-month reconciliation, which may include a combination of checking, savings, and credit card accounts. All 8 accounts are currently unreconciled and carrying balance discrepancies.
Scope of Work
Reconcile all 8 bank and credit card accounts for the full 2025 calendar year
Identify and correct all miscategorized transactions across the chart of accounts
Reclassify items incorrectly coded to the Balance Sheet that belong on the P&L, and vice versa
Correct all misapplied payments affecting both A/R and A/P
Reconstruct an accurate Balance Sheet
Deliver a clean, accurate P&L and Balance Sheet upon project completion
What to Expect
Despite the relatively modest transaction volume, the depth of errors is significant. Most of what was entered in 2025 will likely need to be pulled back and redone from scratch. This is a full reconstruction of the year, not a surface-level cleanup. Candidates who only have experience with routine catch-up work may not be the right fit.
Who I'm Looking For
Proven QuickBooks Online experience required
Demonstrated experience with complex cleanups and full-year reconstructions
Strong understanding of proper P&L vs. Balance Sheet classification
Ability to work independently with minimal back-and-forth
