Expense Frequency Distribution Build
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have a spreadsheet that logs our company’s expenses and I need to turn it into a clear-cut frequency distribution in Excel. The data are strictly financial—no sales or survey figures—so the only metric in play is Expenses, and I want those expenses grouped by type (e.g., travel, software, utilities, etc.).
Here’s what I need from you:
• Clean the raw expense sheet if necessary (date and amount columns are already in place).
• Decide on sensible class intervals for each expense type and build a frequency table.
• Create an accompanying histogram or other visual that makes the distribution easy to read at a glance.
• Keep everything inside a single .xlsx file with formulas intact so I can refresh it when new data arrive.
You’re free to use any Excel features you like—pivot tables, dynamic arrays, Power Query—so long as the final workbook is uncomplicated for non-technical teammates to maintain.
