ERPNext Accountant / Bookkeeper
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
We are looking for a friendly and dedicated accountant or experienced bookkeeper who knows ERPNext well and can take ownership of our bookkeeping and accounts processes from end to end.
This role is about more than simply entering transactions. We need someone who can keep the books clean, manage the day-to-day accounts work, support the director with financial administration, and help build better processes and practices as the business grows.
You will be responsible for keeping ERPNext accurate and up to date, including posting receipts, payments, invoices, journal entries, payroll-related items, contractor payments, reconciliations, and adjustments. You will also help ensure that ledgers are maintained correctly and that reliable reports can be produced directly from ERPNext when needed.
A key part of the role will be improving how we work. We want someone who can spot gaps, organize financial workflows, reduce spreadsheet dependency, and make better use of ERPNext so the accounts function becomes more streamlined, reliable, and easy to review.
**Main responsibilities include:**
* Managing bookkeeping and accounts activity within ERPNext
* Recording and matching transactions to source documents
* Maintaining accurate ledgers, balances, and account records
* Handling payroll-related accounting and contractor payment processes
* Reconciling bank, supplier, customer, and control accounts
* Producing monthly Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow reports
* Supporting the director with accounts administration and financial organization
* Identifying process gaps and suggesting practical improvements
* Helping document and improve accounting processes and workflows
* Liase with HMRC
**The ideal person will have:**
* Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience
* Real working knowledge of ERPNext, or a very similar ERP system
* Fluent written and spoken English
* Availability to work within or closely overlap UK working hours
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Confidence managing accounts processes from start to finish
* Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
* A practical mindset for improving systems, processes, and reporting
This would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, bringing order to financial processes, and helping build a clean, organized accounts function inside ERPNext.
