CPA Needed: First-Time Audit
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m seeking a licensed CPA with a registered address to carry out my very first financial-statement audit. All of my activity comes from professional gambling, so the engagement will revolve around confirming revenue and expense totals, calculating ROI, and validating my win-rate percentage.
The raw data is already organised inside two detailed Excel workbooks that track every wager, payout, fee and bankroll movement. You’ll be pulling figures directly from those files, tracing them to supporting documentation when necessary, and then issuing a full set of audited financial statements together with your signed independent auditor’s report. No formal accounting framework has been adopted yet, so I’ll look to you for guidance on whether GAAP, IFRS, or a simpler basis is most appropriate before you begin fieldwork.
Deliverables
• Audited financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, notes)
• Independent auditor’s report, signed and dated on your firm’s letterhead
• Summary of work papers or schedules that show how ROI and win-rate were derived
Acceptance criteria: every reported figure ties back to the Excel source files, audit procedures comply with generally accepted auditing standards, and the final report is suitable for presentation to third parties.
Excel will be the primary tool on my end; you’re free to use any audit software you prefer. Let me know your timeline and any preliminary documents you’ll need so we can get started.
