AWS vs Hetzner Cost Analysis
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I host my web and mobile apps on a dedicated Hetzner server and am debating whether shifting to AWS EC2 makes financial sense. My top priority is cost efficiency; scalability and raw performance matter, but only if they directly affect the bottom line. Usage is somewhat predictable—traffic climbs during marketing pushes yet remains steady most days.
Here’s what I need:
high performance good price .. in Hetzner my server is :
AX52 Linux
CPU : AMD Ryzen™ 7 7700
RAM : 128 GB DDR5 ECC Ram
Hard : 4 TB NVMe SSD
i pay about 110 euro per month
--------------------------------------------------
on EC2 i found this :
Config summary Tenancy (Shared Instances), Operating system (Linux), Workload (Monthly, Baseline: 1, Peak: 2, Duration of peak: 1
Day 0 Hr 0 Min), Advance EC2 instance (m5.8xlarge), Pricing strategy (EC2 Instance Savings Plans 3yr No Upfront),
Enable monitoring (disabled), DT Inbound: Not selected (0 TB per month), DT Outbound: Not selected (0 TB per
month), DT Intra-Region: (0 TB per month)
Middle East (Bahrain)
Monthly cost
639.41 USD
Total 12 months cost
7,672.92 USD
------------------------------------
so can you help me or advice me to keep on my dedicated server or move to EC2 ,, but it's big different in the price i can't handle it to be honest
