Fractional CFO / Financial QA Needed to Validate SaaS Math, Formulas & Ledger
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
Deliverables:
You will be required to execute a specific workflow (outlined below) and produce a comprehensive audit report (we will provide a Google Form for you to log your findings). You must identify any mathematical discrepancies, data transfer failures, logical flaws in the profit-sharing/bonus formulas, or general bugs you encounter during the process.
Step-by-Step Validation Protocol
You must strictly follow this workflow to test the system:
Phase 1: Setup & Bidding
Onboarding: Go to our app and create a 14-day trial account. Use the Knowledge Base to familiarize yourself with the platform.
Lead & Proposal Creation: Create a lead, then generate a proposal. The proposal must utilize the {pricing_table} parameter.
Margin & Cost Formatting: When creating the pricing table, create and save new products. Once saved, input and validate the profit margins and base costs.
Project Conversion: Simulate the client accepting the proposal. The system should automatically convert the proposal into an active project. Validate: Ensure all financial data (margins, costs, totals) transferred perfectly from the proposal to the project.
Phase 2: Staff Allocation & Bonuses
5. Team & Task Setup: Create two separate "Staff" user accounts. Create project-specific tasks and assign them to these staff members.
6. Bonus Structure: Navigate to the "Wallet" category for staff. Create two different categories and allocate a specific bonus percentage (%) to each.
7. Assignment: Go back to the active project and assign the staff members and their respective bonuses. (Note: Bonuses must equate to over 100 points/$ for the system to allow future withdrawals).
Phase 3: Execution & Time Tracking
8. Time Tracking: Log into the two staff accounts. Have them log time "on the clock" and mark their assigned tasks as complete.
9. Report Validation: Validate the timesheet reports and calculated data for accuracy at this stage.
Phase 4: Completion & Profit Sharing
10. Project Closeout: Log back into the Admin account and mark the project as complete.
11. Profit Allocation: Mark the project as "Profitable." Validate: Rigorously test and verify the formulas for the extra profit-sharing distribution to the staff.
Phase 5: Payouts & Ledger Audit
12. Staff Verification: Log back into the staff accounts and look at the points. Verify that the awarded points/balances are mathematically correct based on the profit-sharing rules.
13. Withdrawal Request: From the staff accounts, submit a request to withdraw the points. Validate: Ensure the requested data is accurate.
14. Admin Approval: Log back in as the Admin and approve the staff withdrawal requests. Validate: Confirm the balances deduct correctly and the math holds up.
15. Final Reconciliation: Audit the global ledger to ensure all entries balance properly. Export the final reports and validate the data format and accuracy.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as Controller, or Financial Analyst.
Strong understanding of profit margins, commission structures, and ledger balancing.
Experience in QA testing for financial software, SaaS, or ERP systems is a massive plus.
Ability to clearly document exactly where a formula breaks and how it should be fixed.
Please start your proposal with the word "LEDGER" so I know you have read the full step-by-step requirements. Briefly outline your experience with financial auditing or software validation.
