Budget: $2 – $8 USD
The summative assessment will involve a 3000-word count individual report on the financial ratios of two reputable Engineering companies’ financial data operating within the same industry. The report will analyse and appraise the financial position of the companies and make recommendations for investment decisions based on financial ratio analysis.
The final date for submission will be in 2022 and will be advised as soon as possible, but we will start to think about the assessment right from the start of the module – identifying the companies and then you can start with background information retrieval collecting data on the companies in preparation for the analytical work.
This will be based around the Annual Report and accounts of the companies but it always helps to research news items and press releases for up to date issues.
Remember the Annual Financial Reports are historic docments.
The marking scheme will comprise the following split of marks
Clear index, structure, form and presentation - 20%
Detailed calculations, clearly expressed and with interpretation _.60%
Conclusion, recommendation and synthesis – 20%
