Silent Comedy Short Film (10 Minutes) – Love & Friendship Theme
We are looking for a filmmaker to create a 10-minute silent short film for an assignment. The film should be in the tradition of classic silent cinema — think Charlie Chaplin’s slapstick humor or Georges Méliès’ A Trip to the Moon for creativity and visual storytelling.
Requirements:
• Genre: Comedy
• Themes: Love and Friendship (compulsory)
• Format: Silent film (no spoken dialogue)
• Only 6 words of dialogue allowed in total (can be placed anywhere in the film)
• Communication through action, expression, and visual comedy
• Music is allowed
• Must include credits at the beginning and end
• Everyone in our group (5 members) must appear on screen at some point
• Duration: 10 minutes
• Submission format: YouTube link
• Deadline: 21st September
What We’re Looking For:
• A filmmaker with experience in silent storytelling, slapstick, and visual comedy
• Ability to write, direct, shoot, and edit a complete short film
• Strong sense of timing and creativity to make the film engaging without dialogue
Deliverables:
• A fully finished, polished 10-minute silent film (with editing, music, and credits)
• Ready-to-upload final version
