Make a young laundry brand a funny short (60 sec max) commercial for the UK/US with real people in it.

Job ID: 31287224

Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP

Melt is a new direct to subscriber Eco-laundry brand part aimed partly at 18-25 yr olds who we think are overlooked. The ones starting a new household (students, young professionals) and want to do laundry differently and better (tiny concentrated detergent strips, less toxins, delivered for free, zero plastic packaging, low fragrance) than their parents (laundry pods/gunk left on clothes/buy at store/plastic bottles/high artificial funky fragrance like Lily of the Valley!).

meltlaundry.com.

We want a short cool ad/film making that pokes fun at parents by their kids (18-21 age?) who are were always embarrassing to their kids in the things they do and how they do it. Now the kids are leaving.

Ending with the kid/kids choosing/being given a subscription to Melt strips (subtle) and are no longer under their parents embarrassments as they leave home. Its more about the feelings than the product. ie we don't need too much about Melt itself in the ad.

Our initial thoughts for the scenes are stuff like: "Dad dancing at a wedding" "Mum's trying to be cool in front of their kids and their friends, using their kids nicknames in public, out of shape Dad trying to play squash/cycle and failing. Bringing out pictures of the kids when they were younger. "Talking about sex in code" etc. The list is endless!

It has to be punchy , cut cut etc but not dizziness.

The film has to be viral amongst our demographic and as funny as possible. Parents get the roast big style, albeit with compassion. It would run on ads on social media/YT etc.

If you can't create funny or dry humour please do not force it.

To begin, please either a short teaser and storyboard and we can discuss and award from there.

We may run a short series of these with parents getting back at their kids etc etc.

I am smiling thinking how this could be, we are a fun fast brand not stuffy & corporate so please be creative and add to our ideas even if a little daring.

Music also. Good luck and let's have fun with this.

It is for the UK market initially so we may favour a UK maker, but we'll consider a US voice or two also.

Thanks and good luck!
