Recording exercise 2 - work process

For the filming, each student, in agreement with the lecturer, chooses one work process, which is presented chronologically in the film
, for example:
- Making a product,
- working in a home garage, workshop,
- work in the garden or around the house,
- music practice, sports training,
- a home chore,
- preparing a meal,
- etc.
The point of the chosen activity is to show the chronological process of the work in a meaningful way - from the beginning to the end, with
a logical sequence of the different intermediate phases of the work, with appropriate editing transitions between shots and
time jumps.
The exercise can be filmed using a video tripod, a photo tripod or handheld (it is recommended that you do not
combine tripod and handheld shots in the same exercise, except in the case of the Fi effects shot, which must be done from
a tripod). For those who will be filming handheld, make sure that you do not move the camera, that you hold it as still as possible and that
your hands shake as little as possible. Record the exercise using different focal lengths of the lens
(wide-angle, telephoto), in different planes (totals and close-ups), from different angles, and present the chronological activity as differently as possible
.
The edited video must contain a minimum of 20 shots (a shot with fi effects is considered as one
shot).
The exercise must include the following clips:
- at least 1X wide total (in which the performer is visible from head to toe and in
in which the main location of the action is visible)
- at least 3X very close close-ups
- at least 1X shot with an unusual angle or view;
of the upper or lower rake
- 1-2x FI EFFECTS shots (and no more!) to briefly show the different time phases in the
work process;
o each FI EFFECTS shot should contain at least two montage cuts (jumps)
o make sure to shoot the FI EFFECTS shot with a static camera (camera on a tripod!)
The video should be shot with the correct camera settings:
- video format: HD or UHD (4k), 25 fps (frames per second)
- exposure time (1/50 sec)
- ISO (minimum value under given lighting conditions)
- aperture (depending on the amount of light)
- WB (set according to the type of light: sun, clouds, shadows...)
- focus: manual focus
