Logline: In 2045, a short African American male is imprisoned for not meeting society's standards on what a perfect man should be. The UCLA graduate is on his second strike and if he isn't picked by an upper-class woman at an auction then he'll be executed immediately.
Synopsis: “Black Bird” is a Sci-fi thriller about a dystopian society where beauty standards determine the class for men and women in 2045. Unfortunately for Stefan Terrance, who’s a short African American male, he doesn’t live up to the beauty standards of what a man should be thus he’s forced to live in a concentration camp with men and women who aren’t flawless human beings. Luckily, Stefan and the other citizens are given a chance to escape their hell if they find a suitable partner in the upper-class society; however, if he fails to find love in 30 days then he’ll be deemed worthless and executed by a ruthless tyrant.

Other information: I'm currently attached as the director as well. Thus far, I've put in $1500 of the $4500 production. Planning stages call for the film to be done in late August. Will be shot in Los Angeles, CA. The overall plan is to get exposure for the film by entering film festivals in hopes of a feature being made. The feature script is already completed, but the short can stand on its own.
